What are the stories that you have told yourself over and over again, even if they are not true? A myth is a legendary or imaginary narrative that presents our beliefs, and a mythology is a collection of those stories. All humans create these myths about ourselves - stories that are unverifiable and slightly imaginative (exaggerated). We tell ourselves that these myths are true and reinforce the myth of what not necessarily was. I ask you to question these myths and challenge you to verify them. define your personal myths. What is your personal mythology? What are your stories? Why do you accept them and continue to tell them? |
